Job Summary

Our West Richland team is seeking to fill a Customer Service Specialist position with a dynamic customer-focused individual with the desire to engage library visitors of all ages in the discovery of great books, while also supporting customers using computers and personal devices in the library. This position will be responsible for facilitating programming activities, participate in community outreach events, and present information about services/programs to the public as needed. Successful candidates will have a love of reading and learning, working with children, and a desire to serve the public through this role!

Anticipated work schedule: Tuesday's 2-7pm, Wednesday/Thursday's 9:30-2:30pm, Friday's 1-6pm and Saturday's 12-5pm. 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college, plus two years of customer service experience, including public contact
  • Or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience
  • Must also be able to obtain a valid Washington State driver’s license
  • Ability to promote a culture of belonging by supporting MCL's commitment to a Healthy Workplace 

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technological devices (such as eReaders) and their application
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
