In partnership with Northwest Public Broadcasting, join historian and author Coll Thrush for a special evening exploring the haunting history of shipwrecks on the Pacific Northwest coast. The program includes a screening of “Wrecked,” inspired by Thrush’s book of the same name, followed by a brief author talk and a fireside chat with Q&A moderated by NWPB Senior Correspondent Anna King.
“Wrecked” traces the stories of iconic shipwrecks along the Graveyard of the Pacific, a dangerous stretch of coastline that has claimed more than 2,000 ships, and examines how these disasters shape coastal communities, Indigenous history, and regional identity.
Books will be available for purchase, with a book signing following the program. Free and open to the public. Refreshments provided, while supplies last.
