Learn Local: Silent Legacy - Unsung Contributions of CS Prowell to the Yakima Valley

Join us for a historical presentation by Diane Leist, President of Kiona Benton City Historical Society. Diane will delve into the little-known life of Courtland S. Prowell with a primary focus on his 20-year career with the Northern Pacific Railroad (NPR) during the construction of its Yakima Road of the Cascade Division and his early actions in development which left lasting legacies in the Kiona Benton City area, including early irrigation and community building. In addition, we’ll get peak into the participation and contributions to the local community by his wife, Anna Scothorn Prowell.
