What makes us human? As a creative, I am extremely passionate about exploring the vulnerabilities of humankind and examining the sociopolitical barriers that, at times, prevent and/or hinder individuals from achieving their highest potential. It probably comes as no surprise to see my passions reflected in my book choices. Storytelling is the greatest vehicle to do so. "Humans of New York" inspired me to become the artist I am today and to pursue storytelling in my art. This book holds a special place in my heart and my bookshelf. Whenever I am having a rough day, I pick up this book and instantly am humbled by the experiences of the people in the world.
