Job Summary

We’re seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Specialist to join our Pasco team. In this dynamic role, you’ll engage with customers of all ages, support our Spanish-speaking community and create meaningful experiences at the library. In this role, the Customer Service Specialist will assist customers at the main desk while also supporting them in the use of computers and personal devices while at the library. This position will support in-branch activities, programming, and participate in outreach events. Successful candidates will have a love of reading and learning, enjoy engaging with customers of all ages, have a passion for serving diverse communities and supporting our Spanish speaking population!

This position is open until filled; First review will be Friday, July 17 by 5:00pm. 

Minimum Qualifications

We are currently seeking a customer service orientated individual with the following qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college, plus two years of customer service experience, including public contact
  • Or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience
  • Must also be able to obtain a valid Washington State driver’s license
  • Ability to promote a culture of belonging by supporting MCL's commitment to a Healthy Workplace
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of technological devices (such as cell phones, tablets) and apps 
  • Previous outreach experience, including working with organizations serving children, their families, and/or the community
