Job Summary

Our Othello branch is seeking to fill a Bilingual Customer Service Specialist position with a dynamic customer-focused individual with the desire to engage library visitors of all ages in the discovery of great books, while also supporting customers using computers and personal devices in the library. This book enthusiast will support in-branch activities, programming, and participate in outreach events. Successful candidates will have a love of reading and learning, enjoy engaging with customers of all ages, have a passion for serving the public and supporting our Spanish speaking population!

Minimum Qualifications

We are currently seeking an energetic, customer service orientated individual with the following qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college, plus two years of customer service experience, including public contact
  • Or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience
  • Must also be able to obtain a valid Washington State driver’s license
  • Ability to promote a culture of belonging by supporting MCL's commitment to a Healthy Workplace
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technological devices (such as eReaders) and their application
