Repetition Highway

Attention Parents!  Slow down for construction!  Your baby’s brain is building pathways and turning them into highways!

Have you ever thought to yourself – “Why am I reading this silly book?  My baby can’t even talk!”,  or “My toddler can’t even sit still!”  I know I have!

When I can’t think of something to keep my baby busy, I repeat all the nursery rhymes I know.  It really does calm them down! Plus, these songs are often still enjoyed by older siblings.

There is a reason why nursery rhymes are really short and why kids' songs are repetitive.  Kids learn through repetition!  Nursery rhymes and songs that you say over and over are helping to develop your baby’s memory and brain!
