Find out about Accelrated Reader/AR BookFinder.
Why bother?
Children and parents often come in asking for books on an AR list.
You can look for the information in the branch or from home.
Showing the list through the MCL webpage allows customers an opportunity to discover other homework help on the page.
You can change the language option to Spanish.
It has award, state and librarians’ lists.
Monthly report information
Remember you can use searching this area as a training experience. Open and look closely at the contents at least three times.
Working with this site fulfills strategic goals:
Goal 2: Children (age six through twelve) will enjoy materials and programs that stimulate their imaginations and provide pleasurable reading, viewing, and listening experiences.
Goal 7: Children and teens will have the resources they need to succeed in school.
On the front page, orange bar tab, click For Kids.
On the left panel, click Homework Help
On tiny brown letters above Novelist click Accelerated Reader.
Choose an option such as student, it does not matter which one. (You can also change the language here or later on.)
Type in
You will get 58 entries.
On left link bar you can limit the entries by grade level, change the language, choose fiction or non fiction and topics. Click an individual title for even more information.
Change the language to see how it looks in Spanish.
Be sure to check out the Collections tab on the front page to get awards lists, state lists and librarians’ picks.
